E-Star in Education is a cooperative effort between The Kansas City Star, local business sponsors, and area schools to encourage use of the newspaper as a tool for instruction and to promote literacy. Under the program, teachers and students are given access to the e-Edition of The Star, as well as to numerous educational and fun site features, curriculum ideas, teaching materials, special supplements, and more.

Educational. Your E-Star in Education subscription includes other free educational content, such as Online Lessons, Political Cartoons, History Calendar and Educational Links.
Efficient. One order provides access to the e-Edition of The Star (including archived issues) seven days a week and to all programs and special site features available for the semester. Access is not limited to the classroom; students and teachers are encouraged to use E-Star in Education from home.
Easy-to-Use. Search by keywords and project or print only what's applicable to your lesson plans. Once posted, most supplements and teacher guides are archived and available throughout the semester.
